The Urban Waters Archive is a speculative exhibition system showcasing moving images that I collected during the past year. It an investigation of water in urban landscapes, delving into the captivating and fluid dynamics that unfold when the two elements converge.
Born from an initial fascination with the visual aberrations and anomalies that water manifests within city streets and under the influence of urban lighting, this archive serves as a visual exploration of the fluid interplay.
The exhibition unfolds in a room with 10 transparent large-scale screens, each dedicated to portraying a unique composition. Projected onto these transparent canvases that extend onto the ceiling or floor, these visual displays create a fluid, ethereal and immersive experience for visitors. Each screen is marked by a caption, in the beginning of the exhibition, that encapsulates the portrayed dynamic, providing a thought-provoking journey through the complex relationship between water and urban environments.
The design system for the exhibition includes ticket design, social media branding, as well as posters in both still and motion formats.
